This is the sixth and final project from my painting survey class. In comparison to all our other paintings, which we spent a substantial amount of time on, this was meant to be a very quick impasto painting. I don't usually keep up with the time I put into my work, but I did this one in a little more than 2 hours, mostly with a palette knife.
The painting is of my african djembe drum, one of my favorite instruments.
